Mick Mars Says Motley Crue Album With John Corabi Is His Favorite

| September 20, 2012 | 4 Comments

Mick Mars and John Corabi

Mars recently spoke to Jacky Bam Bam of the 93.3 WMMR radio station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When asked about 1994 self-titled album, Mars stated, “I thought that was probably… To me, and I can only speak for me, I think that was probably the best album we’ve done. Musical-wise, the songs, I felt, were strong. And just musically, to me, it was, I guess, my BEATLES ‘White Album’; that’s kind of how I feel about that one. I’m not saying that any of my other albums are crummy or anything like that — I love every album that we did — but that one just has a special thing for me.” Listen to the full interview below

A couple months ago during an interview with, Mars also stated that the Corabi album was one of his favorite Motley albums. Listen to that interview HERE

  1. Chris says:

Call me crazy, but it’s not a stretch. I’ve always thought the Corabi album was excellent, with consistently great tracks back-to-back, and grossly underrated. Don’t think I can put it above Shout at the Devil, though.

  2. David Green says:

    I agree totally….right on mick.One of my all-time favorite albums….PERIOD!

  3. TheLawler says:

The album with John Corabi is by far and away the best Crue album. Musically, Sonically and Sound Wise. The guitars have a great crunch to them and Mick and John played well off of one another. I know they would never have the success commercially that Vince brings to the table (…and I do love Crue with Vince) but I would love to see another record with John and the Crue family.

  4. April says:

Yeah. I wouldn’t know how great that album is. Maybe the guitar work is good. It’s just I refuse to go anywhere near it because of the typical idea that it doenst have Vince an it just doenst seem like a Moltey album.
